During a recent one-week period, Facebook surpassed Google by a narrow margin among U.S. Internet users for the first time in the social networking site’s history, according to a study by the research firm Hitwise. The communications specialists from Beyond the Hype
suggest that while Facebook must still prove its usefulness to marketers, if the audience is there, “the marketing dollars are sure to follow.”
