Position Overview and Responsibilities:
SharePoint Developer
Fleishman-Hillard has an immediate opening for a Web Developer to join its MIS team. This is an opportunity to work within a highly-motivated team environment to assist with all phases of production development including: gathering project requirements, system design, system development, system testing, implementation, support, and documentation. This candidate should possess strong portal development technologies and application development experience.
This individual will be part of a global team of IT professionals, the majority of whom are based in our headquarters in St. Louis. This team includes technical support specialists, network engineers, web development support specialists, financial application developers, knowledge management specialists, messaging technicians, regional technical generalists and server technology specialists. This dynamic team works closely to provide support of our infrastructure and to all staff around the world.
Responsibilities will include:
- Participates in the development of IT applications to support business needs
- Responsible for translating business requirements into technical specifications
- Responsible for detailed technical design and development of applications using existing and emerging technology platforms
- Designs and codes programs; creates test transactions and runs tests; revises as necessary
- Maintain documentation
- Responsible for the customization of mobile web development
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelors in Computer Science or related field
- Must be proficient in .NET development with AJAX, HTML, XML, XSL, XPath, CSS, JavaScript, VBScript, Visual Basic, C#, ASP
- 1+ year(s) experience using portal development tools (SharePoint, Community Server)
- SharePoint Server 2007/2010, MOSS, SharePoint Designer 2007/2010; must have a strong knowledge of the Microsoft SharePoint platform, architecture and content management concepts
- Experience in developing Web sites
- SQL Server 2005/2008, Knowledge of SQL language, stored procedures IIS, and database design concepts
- Knowledge of XHTML and web standards
- 1+ year(s) experience using blogging technology (WordPress)
- Ability to work under deadlines
- Skills required to perform the duties are: excellent problem solving, communication (verbal and written), research gathering, testing, debugging, documentation, and teamwork with a passion for software development
Preferred:
- Silverlight development experience a plus
- Java development experience a plus
- Flash design and ActionScript programming a plus
- Knowledge of accessibility guidelines such as 508 and/or WCAG a plus
- PHP experience a plus
- Dynamic CRM experience a plus
- HTML5 experience a plus
