Position Overview and Responsibilities:

We are currently seeking a General Manager for our New Delhi office. This is an exciting career opportunity for a seasoned public relations counselor who is ready to take charge of a strategically-placed office in India, someone who excels at new business development, team mentorship, and client relationship management.

The General Manager position will have responsibility for client relations, new business, corporate initiatives, and general office management. At Fleishman-Hillard, our General Managers are able to offer expertise in all phases of the public relations field, as well demonstrate excellent management skills, including the ability to coach, motivate, lead and inspire their people.

Responsibilities include:

  • Grow the revenue of the New Delhi office through pitching for new business opportunities via own business connections and Fleishman-Hillard network referrals;
  • Identify growth areas and initiate new ideas and products;
  • Support the communication requirements of existing key clients (in conjunction with the client-servicing teams of the New Delhi office) by providing high level strategic counsel and delivery of results;
  • Maintain and develop existing client relationships;
  • Identify and support the training needs of the New Delhi office;
  • Develop new practices or capabilities for the New Delhi office;
  • Maintain and enhance the Fleishman-Hillard values through management actions and personal commitment to such values, including Respect for the Individual, Teamwork, Quality Service, Entrepreneurship, and Commitment to the Highest Ethical Standards.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 12 years of public relations or related experience, preferably in an agency environment;
  • An entrepreneur who is motivated by challenge and the ability to grow a successful team. Installing fresh ideas is important;
  • Possess strong people and presentation skills and a proven track record in winning new business;
  • Demonstrated ability to provide high-level strategy to clients and to build lasting, mutually rewarding client relationships;
  • Strong hands-on leadership, organization, prioritization and project management abilities;
  • Possess high level of energy, excitement, and enthusiasm.  A team driven orientation is critical;
  • Excellent management skills including the ability to coach, motivate, lead and inspire.
