Vice President, B2B/Technology

Fleishman-Hillard’s San Francisco office has an immediate opening for an experienced, motivated, entrepreneurial and energized Vice President with a passion for corporate/B2B public relations and communications. This professional will develop and manage integrated communications programs for a large technology client as well as other clients that operate in a variety of B2B sectors – technology, financial services, healthcare and retail.

Responsibilities will include strategic communication plan development, counseling clients, managing dynamic teams, executing outreach to national business, trade, technology and social influencers as well as social media strategy and execution.

As a seasoned corporate communications pro familiar with B2B products and services, the ideal candidate will deliver key insights into clients’ businesses and industry environments as opportunities to demonstrate client industry leadership and maximize client awareness.

As a strategic counselor, the Vice President will have a deep understanding of the overall strategy of a client’s public relations program and use that knowledge to suggest successful tactics and implement them within a larger team.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years of communications experience, either in a PR agency or a corporate PR position
  • A strong interest  in the technology market, with recent experience working with B2B and/or enterprise technology companies
  • Demonstrated experience executing public relations plans and the ability to plan and implement strategic communications programs within scope and budget
  • Ability to think strategically and analytically, for the purpose of formulating client recommendations/counsel.
  • Experience managing a team, as well as the ability to effectively manage multiple client budgets.
  • Experience in working with online, business and technology media/influencers and well-developed skills in building and extending media/influencer relationships.
  • Excellent writing abilities with extensive experience in all forms of corporate and executive communication, key message and content development.
  • Experience in managing and coaching mid to junior team members, including  department interns
  • An understanding of industry analyst relations is helpful
  • An understanding of social media tools and communications tactics
  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in marketing communications, journalism, communications, public relations, or a related field
