FH Strengthens Commitment to PRSA, Welcomes “Gateway to the Best” 2015 PRSA Midwest District Conference
This week, FleishmanHillard is proud to sponsor the 2015 Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Midwest District Conference near our global headquarters in downtown St. Louis, June 10-12.
Dubbed “Gateway to the Best,” this year’s conference will bring together the region’s top public relations professionals to share best practices on emerging industry trends and discuss insights on how to build your brand while expanding your professional network. The St. Louis PRSA chapter has arranged a great line-up of speakers to share their expertise and experience with various communications sectors including: issues management, public affairs, internal communications, reputation management, interactive communications (digital, social, mobile) and industry specific public relations (e.g. healthcare, sports, travel and tourism).
This is an exciting time to be in the communications industry. The pace of innovation and change is staggering. We, too, are navigating today’s complex media and business landscape to help our clients connect with the right audiences at the right time through the right channels, and our relationship with PRSA only strengthens this process. We value the organization’s role as an advocate for understanding and adopting the best-practices in public relations, as well its leading voice on important business and professional issues.
Founded in 1947, PRSA has expanded to a community of more than 22,000 public relations and communications professionals from all 50 states. Since its founding, the organization has set a standard of excellence and ethics for its members, while also providing professional development opportunities within the industry – and we’re excited to be a part of it.
The PRSA St. Louis Chapter was chartered in 1946, just a year before FleishmanHillard opened its doors. Both with an equally impressive legacy, FleishmanHillard and the St. Louis Chapter have established themselves as leaders in the public relations industry for almost 70 years. FleishmanHillard’s own founders took an early interest in the St. Louis chapter. In 1954, Robert E. Hillard served as St. Louis Chapter President. Alfred Fleishman took a term as president in 1969.
As part of our commitment to PRSA, five members of our senior leadership team will be presenting case studies and best practices at the conference, including:
- Lesley Backus, Senior Vice President and Director, Planning & Insights
- Jeff Davis, ContentWorks Strategy Director
- Rebecca Rausch, Senior Vice President and Partner, and Ken Fields, Senior Vice President and Senior Partner
- Mike Slatin, Senior Vice President and Senior Partner; Logan Kearins, Senior Account Executive
- With AT&T’s Katie Nagus, Director of Communication

We can’t wait to meet you in St. Louis!
