Stories are powerful: They can change the way we feel and act. In some cases, they can change the world. Candy Peterson, SVP of FleishmanHillard’s creative group in Dallas, will share her story as founder of the Marit Peterson Fund for Melanoma Research at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center. Founded in 2007, the organization has grown into the single largest and highest quality melanoma research study of its kind in the world. Peterson’s talk is part of the Disrupt segment of this year’s TEDxSMU, and will be live streamed beginning at 10:04 AM (CST). TEDxSMU, first held in 2007, is an all-day TED-style conference for the SMU and Dallas communities, and brings together interesting people and ideas from around the world.
