ST. LOUIS, Sept. 27, 2017 — FleishmanHillard, working with J. Walter Thompson Amsterdam and client Free a Girl, brought home prestigious Black & Wood Pencil Awards for its contributions to Free a Girl’s “School for Justice” campaign at this year’s D&AD Impact Awards in the Education and Humanitarian Aid categories, respectively. “School for Justice” is an education campaign that helps survivors of sex trafficking escape prostitution and go into prosecution. It also aims to make taboo topics around child prostitution more openly discussed in Indian society and media, which it achieved through high engagement with local audiences, and successfully garnered endorsements from international organizations. FleishmanHillard in India managed the PR and social media components of the effort.

The D&AD Impact awards program, now in its second year, honors work in design and advertising that makes a difference for the better while also supporting business objectives. Winners were announced on Tuesday, September 26 at a ceremony in New York City.
