The session will outline the three basic components of social crisis management – People, Platforms, Process. The majority of attention will be on the process (or system) by which companies can prepare for, mitigate and recover from issues which arise on social, are a direct result of social or are amplified by social. The session will culminate in a case study that details how each function within a communications group worked to mitigate and ultimately rectify a crisis which was started by activists on social media.
