Consumer Health PR for Research Intensive Product Launch
When GlaxoSmithKline (GSK), Ireland, received license approval for a new malaria prophylaxis, Fleishman-Hillard was tasked with creating a strategic and creative launch for the vaccine and a public education campaign to raise awareness of malaria in the Irish marketplace. Eight months after the launch, GSK's "It Only Takes One Bite" campaign, including a vital endorsement from the Irish Travel Agents' Association (ITAA), supported GSK's efforts in capturing 71 percent share of Ireland's anti-malarial market.
In Texas, on behalf of local healthcare provider Seton Healthcare Network, Fleishman-Hillard launched insure-a-kid, a collaborative public education and outreach campaign. The goal: to help raise awareness of the federal Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP), a low-cost insurance option for eligible families. Using message repetition and our proven targeted grassroots model, the campaign resulted in a 53 percent increase in enrollment in CHIP, compared with the top-four counties in the state.
Healthcare Marketing: Making a Difference With Everyday Challenges
Recognizing a need for asthma care for underserved children within the New York public school system, Fleishman-Hillard approached the city schools' chancellor with an innovative solution Project E.R.A.S.E.: Eradicating Respiratory Asthma in Schools to help children Excel. This unprecedented in-school program, provided children in need with access to asthma specialists. After one school year, asthma-related absenteeism dropped by nearly 50 percent, hospitalizations by more than 75 percent, emergency room visits by more than 25 percent. Further, this award-winning program reduced hospital visit and emergency room related costs by an estimated $135,000.
