Position Overview and Responsibilities

THE OPPORTUNITY - This position sits within our corporate communications practice, one of several teams in Europe and a core part of the wider FH corporate offering globally.  The team support a varied and impressive client portfolio made up of brands from a range of industry sectors.

This role will support the development and roll out of a variety of strategic communications; from reputation management, CEO profiling, IC & stakeholder management, CSR, Media relations and crisis/issues management programmes.

As an Account Manager in the team you will be building long-standing relationships with clients and colleagues across the network; mentoring members of the team and playing an active role in new business initiatives across the UK, Europe and globally.

Primary Responsibilities Include:

  • Media relations, pitching stories and finding creative angles, writing press releases and byline articles while developing and strengthening relationships with key media contacts.
  • Managing tailored features programmes; identifying appropriate opportunities for the client within target media, using existing information or creating new materials to craft and deliver successful pitches; creating high quality briefing information for senior client spokespeople and staffing media engagements where appropriate with detailed knowledge of broadcast news media.
  • Working with the senior team to coordinate hub team activity; sharing account information and guidance with other team members in the wider network offices, as well as managing their timely feedback into hub team activities and reports.
  • Participating and contributing own ideas to planning meetings and brainstorms.
  • Reporting and providing analysis on the results of online/offline activities.
  • Contribute to the management of client budgets; tracking, billing and communications
  • Supporting and contributing to the identification of organic growth and new business opportunities.
