Position Overview and Responsibilities

FleishmanHillard, a global communications agency, is seeking for a motivated, energetic, self-starting communications practitioner to join our Brand Marketing Practice in our Austin office. This position provides the opportunity to work on a variety of accounts, primarily in the consumer marketing sector, helping to create programs, campaigns and initiatives that play out across disciplines and channels. This role involves leading and working collaboratively with integrated teams, driving strategy, managing client relationships, producing high-quality written material, and implementing integrated communications tactics for clients.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Work directly with clients on a day-to-day basis to manage projects and maintain strong relationships.

  • Contribute to client counsel and creative recommendations on how to meet communications goals.

  • Manage and collaborate with integrated teams to provide clients with seamless multi-channel solutions utilizing media relations, digital, experiential, and social media platforms to deliver maximum performance and results.

  • Develop and provide direction for client and media materials: plans, presentations, reports, and communications documents.

  • Contribute to the development of high-quality programs and campaigns from conception to execution to results.

  • Manage junior staff members, projects and balance staff workload.

  • Develop and manage budgets, direct strategic planning and ensure profitability.

Key Qualifications

  • 4-7 years of experience providing public relations counsel to clients. Agency and big consumer brand experience is preferred.

  • Well-rounded experience in the consumer brand space, including familiarity with industries such as home, sports or technology.

  • Experience working within integrated cross-discipline teams including but not limited to advertising, media buying, digital, social, and experiential.

  • Proven success working with a variety of business or consumer media and influencers.

  • Digitally savvy, with experience in developing digital and social media strategies, and creating and executing seamlessly integrated programs and campaigns that align with client objectives.

  • Strong capabilities in media relations that generates results.

  • Proven ability to contribute to compelling new business proposals.

  • Craves a collaborative team environment that yields great work and client results.

  • Dedication to go above-and-beyond to meet and exceed client need.

  • Ability to lead and inspire teammates through internal planning meetings and brainstorm sessions.

  • A history of exercising excellent judgment and thinking beyond the client ask.

  • Ability to develop and edit high quality written materials, including plans, presentations, messaging, media materials and social content.

  • Strong writing and presentation skills.

  • Experience maintaining good client relationships and delivering outstanding results.

  • Energetic self-starter who has a sense of responsibility and the ability to work with a team or independently.
