Position Overview and Responsibilities
The Washington, D.C. office of FleishmanHillard has an immediate opening for an energetic, self-starting Account Supervisor with technology PR, public affairs, and media relations experience to join our team. This position provides a fantastic opportunity for a passionate technology PR practitioner to act as a strategic communications counselor to a number of exciting and interesting clients.

- Drive media relations activities and support development of third party programs, events and briefing materials.
- Execute advocacy campaign plans including integrating media, grassroots, coalition, advertising and digital recommendations.
- Develop strategic communication documents ranging from press releases, talking points, FAQs, reactive statements, video scripts, executive remarks, blog posts, tweets, articles, etc.
- Maintaining speakers bureaus and driving executive positioning strategies.
- Serve as a representative on various partnership activities and alliances.
- 5-6 years of experience working in Public Affairs and driving communications for technology clients. PR agency experience is preferred.
Existing relationships with business, political, trade, and tech media, and well-developed-skills in building and maintaining traditional and digital media relationships.
- Excellent writing and editing skills that reflect 1) an ability to clarify and simplify complicated issues and diverse subject matter, and 2) versatility in tone and technique depending on the author and/or audience.
- Strong interpersonal skills, can work effectively in a team environment and maintain composure and quality under constant deadline pressure.
- Strong understanding of policy issues and ability to understand how news of the day impacts clients.
- Entrepreneurial and action-oriented in business development activities.
- Ability to solve problems and exercise excellent judgment with the ability to think 'outside of the box.'
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines without sacrificing quality, maintain good client relationships and deliver outstanding results.
- Professional, proactive and committed to high standards in the quality of the communications product.
- Team player with a ‘can do’ attitude.
