Corporate Account Manager Technology, London

Position Overview and Responsibilities

This role will be working on a portfolio of our B2B clients with a focus on the technology sector, driving quality media coverage and crafting creative ideas for our clients.

In this role you will be responsible for corporate communications, executive profiling, content, traditional media relations, measurement, social, significant event support and more. You will also support with the activation of our award-winning thought leadership programme for one of our flagship clients of FHF’s integrated communications programme model. This account has team members from virtually every team in the London office delivering on media relations, social media, content creation and digital strategy elements.

As an Account Manager you’ll be working with both the UK team (focused on running the UK press offices) and EMEA hub team (responsible for creating campaigns and content for roll out to markets across the region). In addition, you will be involved in supporting new business activities in the technology team as well as ensuring the smooth running of the administrative and operational aspects of accounts.

Primary Responsibilities Include:

  • Day-to-day management of busy and exciting UK press offices
  • Building key relationships with stakeholders, media contacts and partners to drive positive and hard-hitting coverage for clients to raise their visibility and support business growth
  • Leading on EMEA hub activity and content creation by developing and implementing highly creative media campaigns that support our clients business growth in key markets so they stand out from competitors
  • Day-to-day lead for a social campaign for our client, identifying suitable topics for tweets and posts, writing social content and ensuring the team is on top of the social media campaign
  • Creating high quality content in the form of written by-lined articles to place in key trade publications
  • Contribute to the management of client budgets; tracking, billing and communications
  • Participating and contributing own ideas to planning meetings and brainstorms
  • Supporting and contributing to the identification of organic growth and new business opportunities

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a B2B account management level role within an agency environment desirable
  • Strong UK media relations skills, particularly within the technology industry
  • Excellent writing skills, including the ability to develop press materials and contribute creative ideas to communications plans
  • Strong organisation and project management abilities; ability to juggle, think quickly and make independent decisions
  • Skilled at applied strategic thinking; anticipating issues, trends, and connections, and translating those insights into actionable ideas for clients
  • Results-focused approach with effective problem solving abilities
  • Skilled at mentoring and developing junior members of the team
