Position Overview and Responsibilities

Agency Accounting Services (AAS) is a shared services organization serving several agencies within Omnicom Group, including FleishmanHillard, Ketchum, Porter Novelli, CPM, GMMB, VOX Global, CLS and others. AAS works closely with this group of agencies who are among the leading global communications firms, widely recognized for excellent client service and strong company cultures founded on teamwork, integrity, and personal commitment. AAS supports operations throughout North America, Europe, Asia, Middle East, South Africa, and Latin America. The shared services team uses the latest version of PeopleSoft financial systems, Cognos reporting and Docfinity document management. The team includes both software engineers and process improvement specialists who support a group of talented, hard-working accountants and accounting specialists. Agency Accounting Services has an immediate opening for a Manager to join our General Ledger and Financial Reporting team. This is an opportunity to work within a highly-motivated team environment. The ideal candidate should have experience in a fast-paced, challenging organization juggling multiple projects under strict deadlines with a high attention to analyzing results and operations.

Responsibilities:           

  • Review monthly financial submission of international offices to ensure they are in prepared in accordance with US GAAP; including client revenue, P&L and balance sheets.
  • Understand foreign exchange and work to minimize the impact of foreign exchange through hedging and business practices.
  • Review monthly financial submissions to ensure that agency and network allocations are recorded properly, so they are properly eliminated in the consolidated reporting. 
  • Preform analysis of an offices monthly financial submission (variance and trend) for the agency’s management.
  • Assist with submission of the office’s results in Hyperion Financial Management.
  • Review and finalize monthly working capital submission .
  • Field and respond to questions from agency management, DAS, and Omnicom regarding office results.
  • Prepare monthly tax and minority interest journal entries.
  • Coordinate quarterly and annual tax reporting requirements for international offices.
  • Assist with the reconciliation of annual statutory audit to US GAAP reporting.
  • Coordinate and prepare supplemental quarterly reporting schedules.
  • Assist with quarterly Sarbanes Oxley testing.
  • Assist the reporting group were needed to meet monthly and quarterly reporting requirements.

Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of experience with a degree in Accounting.
  • CPA preferred.
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities and work under aggressive deadlines.
  • This individual must be a self-starter and highly motivated with strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and cultures.
  • Attention to detail, strong problem-solving ability and a well-defined work ethic.

  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and overall computer skills.
  • PeopleSoft and Hyperion Financial Management system experience a plus.
  • Ability to take on tasks to completion.
  • Great organization skills are necessary.
