Senior Account Executive Consumer, London
Position Overview and Responsibilities

As a Senior Account Executive in the consumer team, you will be responsible for driving media coverage, crafting high quality content, contributing to the development of creative campaigns and ideas for clients and supporting new business activities. Part of the role will also be ensuring the smooth running of the administrative and operational aspects of accounts.
You will be a strong media pitcher, with the ability to drive coverage for clients in line with their key messages and strategy. Finally, you will help to instill and maintain a positive team culture, focused on delivering great work for clients in a positive, proactive environment.

- Become a trusted point of contact for clients, working with them to develop communication strategies across all platforms
- Media relations-finding creative angles and pitching stories to journalists
- Writing press releases and bylines while developing and strengthening relationships with key journalists
- Proactively building relationships with key opinion leaders, media, online influencers and other relevant third-parties
- Supporting the development of client proposals and media materials: plans, presentations, reports, communications documents
- Supporting campaign & programme development through relevant research and contributing ideas to planning meetings and brainstorms
- Reporting and providing analysis on the results of online/offline activities
- Supporting and contributing to the identification of new business opportunities, actively participating in presentations/pitch meetings where possible
- Demonstrated passion, knowledge and understanding of current trends and influencers
- A minimum of 1 year experience working in an agency or in-house setting
- Experience working in a busy press office
- Thorough understanding of the client’s business, commercial context, communications issues and brand positioning
- Strong media contacts and demonstrated ability to successfully pitch stories to journalists
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills. Confident when briefing peers and seniors, and gives clear direction to junior team members
- Demonstrates sound analytical skills. Draws on experience to develop solutions and solve day-to-day problems for clients
