This position is a fantastic opportunity for a digital and social media practitioner to execute digital and social media strategies on behalf of our large global automotive client.

Responsibilities Include;

  • Create, manage and execute day-to-day social and digital deliverables, including content creation and oversight as well as project and account management for client’s retail sector.
  • Identify, cultivate, and manage high-level relationships with bloggers, automotive and retail industry experts and influencers.  Help shape client stories and messages, and actively pitch those communications to the blogger community with the goal of injecting the client into industry conversations
  • Work with team and account leads to develop social and digital strategies for a range of social and online channels.
  • Serve as a day-to-day client contact and manage individual work streams on program implementation and reporting.
  • Manage the development and tactical execution of digital paid media programs for clients (SEM, social advertising, online display).
  • Drive local/regional implementation of national promotions and social media initiatives.
  • Collaborate with client marketing team to define KPIs and execute local marketing plans to meet and/or exceed expectations.
  • Serve as a day-to-day client contact and manage individual work streams on program implementation and reporting.
  • Provide consumer and category insights and expertise to assist in the development of marketing materials.
  • Ensure creative content, including automotive and retail marketing and marketing support materials adhere to client brand standards.

Qualifications

  • 4-7 years of experience creating and executing social media and integrated communications plans for a variety of clients, particularly those in the automotive industry.  Agency experience is preferred but not required.
  • Demonstrated hands-on social media execution (community management, strategy and content development, blog outreach, paid social executions) across all platforms and communication channels, including but not limited to Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, LinkedIn and Google+.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills, especially in creating content and managing social channels for brands on a regular basis. The ideal candidate will translate business and marketing objectives into creative and compelling copy.
  • Experience with social media management systems/platforms is preferred (i.e., Sprinklr, Spredfast, Percolate, Hootsuite).
  • The ideal candidate has active media and influencer relationships within the automotive community in general. Must have experience cultivating relationships with editors and bloggers on the basis of trust, integrity and accessibility. A demonstrated hands-on media approach is required.
  • The ability to develop and generate support for strategic, comprehensive communications plans that apply creative tactics and use a variety of communication channels, including digital (e-mail, social media, blogs), print publications and brochures, executive memos, face-to-face meeting scripts/talking points, special events, video, and FAQs.
  • Proven ability to prioritize, be assertive, self-starting and a willingness to take ownership is essential to success. This translates to strong multi-tasking skills and the ability to effectively motivate staff and clients.
  • Energetic, self-starter and resourceful problem solver – gets things moving and keeps them on track. High attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple ongoing activities.
