Position Overview and Responsibilities

FleishmanHillard, a leading global communications agency, has an immediate opening for an Account Supervisor to join our dynamic consumer practice, focusing on Sports marketing and communications.This position provides a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned communications professional with a background in and passion for sports and marketing and communications to work with collaborative teams on sponsorship activation/communications campaigns, brand building, business development and content creation on behalf of our global clients.

Responsibilities include

  • Play a pivotal role in handling many of the day-to-day activities for the consumer practice's account teams, including working with senior members of the team to help manage budgets and forecasts, oversee projects and clients, and contribute to new business proposals and opportunities.
  • Drive communications campaigns with consumer and trade media; develop strong traditional and social media relationships as well as relationships with third-party Influencers.
  • Develop and edit compelling and high quality deliverables, including plans, memos,research, written content, media materials, website and social media content, client correspondence, and collateral.
  • Provide client counsel and creative recommendations to meet communications and business goals.
  • Manage junior staff members, projects and balance staff workload.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in developing and implementing integrated communications programs specifically related to major consumer brands and products.
  • Strong media relationships with tier 1 sports outlets across print, online and broadcast required, along with strong media strategy sensibilities
  • Experience in sports products, teams, leagues, governing bodies and/or sponsorship is a requirement. Agency experience preferred.
  • Experience working with brands, sponsors, or clients associated with major global sports properties (Olympic Games, FIFA World Cup, NFL Super Bowl, major professional sports leagues) is a plus
  • Digitally savvy, with experience in developing digital and social media strategies, and creating and executing seamlessly integrated programs and campaigns that alight with client objectives.
  • Ability to lead and inspire teammates through internal planning meetings and brainstorm sessions.
  • Ability to develop and edit high quality written materials, including plans, presentations, messaging, media materials, and social content.
  • Strong writing and presentation skills.
  • Experience maintaining good client relationships and delivering outstanding results.
