Position Overview and Responsibilities
FleishmanHillard’s San Francisco consumer brand marketing practice is seeking qualified candidates for a full-time paid winter 2019 intern position. Interns are an integral part of our teams, giving participants real-life experience and skills that will help them succeed in their communications careers in the future.
Our Winter internships offer the opportunity to work with the winner of PRWeek’s Large Agency of the Year 2014 and Best Places to Work 2013, and a team of public relations counselors serving a wide roster of internationally recognized companies.
San Francisco interns have the opportunity to gain exposure to a range of public relations skills, including competitive and industry research and analysis, building media lists, media monitoring, writing media materials, developing internal communications materials, social media management, and event planning.

Ideal candidates will have graduated and completed college coursework in journalism, public relations, communications or related fields. Successful applicants will possess:
- Excellent communications and critical-thinking skills
- Excellent research, writing and organization skills
- Ability to work easily in both large team environments or independently
- Prior internship experience at a public relations firm or corporate communications department
- Demonstrate the ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn from our industry-leading team of counselors
- This is a full-time (40 hours per week), paid position that runs from February to May 2019, with the opportunity for extension
