Position Overview and Responsibilities

FleishmanHillard has an immediate opportunity for a Financial Liaison to join our International team at our global headquarters in St. Louis. This is an opportunity to work within a highly-motivated team environment. Responsibilities include:

  • Review results for international offices in accordance with US GAAP including client revenue, P&L and balance sheets for consolidation at corporate during monthly close, forecast and budget
  • Understand foreign exchange and the effect on the financial statements
  • Review monthly full-year forecasts for all offices and variance analysis to forecasts and budgets and recommend actions
  • Provide high-value customer service for international offices through analysis and financials summaries
  • Assist management with tools to ensure the offices are achieving their goals and strategize for ways to grow revenue, control expenses, manage profitability and write offs
  • Field and respond to questions from management, DAS, and Omnicom regarding office results
  • Analyze, interpret and distribute various financial and operational analyses related to discretionary expenses, time worked, billing write-offs, employee utilization, capacity, client/employee profitability and various balance sheet accounts
  • Prepare summaries, analysis and dashboards for supervisor, management and international offices that provide valuable information as to the profitability and financial success of the offices
  • Quarterly Sarbanes-Oxley testing

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience with a degree in Accounting
  • CPA preferred, but not required
  • Experience using accounting software (PeopleSoft skills are a plus)
  • Top level skills in Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities and work under aggressive deadlines
  • A proven ability to finalize and review internal financial statements, analyze and communicate results, recommend action, and develop forecasts and budgets in a collaborative fashion with the appropriate business leaders
  • Understanding of operational metrics in which to analyze individual office trends and make recommendations
  • The ability to meet monthly/quarterly deadlines and apply appropriate judgment to analyzing various business situations
  • A level of commitment and dedication to the business as well as a strong work ethic and customer service orientation in order to succeed
  • This individual must be a self-starter and highly motivated with strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and cultures
