Technology usage and reliance are at an all-time high due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and consumers are more aware of and concerned about how companies can use their data.
This year’s Authenticity Gap study, The Power of Authenticity, revealed that data privacy and security are among the top issues consumers care about. Seven in 10 consumers hold high expectations of companies when it comes to protecting their personal information, and over half of respondents are less likely to use a company’s products or services due to privacy concerns, even if the data is being used for the consumer’s own benefit.
