“We continue to put our clients and people at the center of our business and culture because their success supports our success as an agency,” said John Saunders, president and CEO. “We are delighted to appoint Della to this new global role, the latest step for her in a long and productive career at FleishmanHillard and in recognition for her part in our global business development performance over the last year. Additionally, the appointment of a strong bench alongside her on this global new business team will improve on the exceptional service we provide to our current clients while also attracting new and exciting client partnerships.”

FleishmanHillard’s business development function has been expanded with additional resources and capabilities to support growing client demand for global integration and solutions at scale, as well as to support existing and new clients with bespoke solutions from across the agency and in close collaboration with the recently established Omnicom Public Relations Group.

The agency also confirmed a number of regional director level positions, lead generation leaders and a global business development services team, including dedicated creative directors, as part of the expanded global unit.

Sweetman was appointed head of the agency’s business development efforts for the Americas in 2013. Prior to that, she was general manager for FleishmanHillard in Southern California.

Along with this role, she will continue to serve as global client leader for one of the agency’s top clients.

Deal was formerly head of business development for the agency’s U.S. Central Region. Haugen was formerly the agency’s lead planner for the EMEA region. Wong served as client service leader on several large APAC agency relationships and new business liaison for the region.

“In a year that we are proud to celebrate our 70th anniversary milestone, we are especially grateful for the opportunities afforded us by our clients and new prospects who believe in our agency and our people,” said Saunders. “We’ve had a remarkable performance in 2016 and we are committed to continuing to prove our value to our people, to our trusted clients and to our partners within Omnicom.”
