Information — and disinformation — is spread at a rapid pace online. Both individuals and organizations must remain aware of trustworthy sources and be able to identify manipulated content.
Mike Sacks, Reputation Management practice lead at FleishmanHillard in Chicago, will join Tina McCorkindale, President and CEO at the Institute for Public Relations; Vikram Sharma, President at Crisp; and Andy Wilson, Executive Director of Public Relations at KPMG for this The Executives’ Club of Chicago webinar session. The panel will discuss how businesses can protect their organization from a disinformation crisis and build trust with stakeholders.
The speakers will share guidance to avoid common dangers that may lead to a disinformation crisis, how consumers can identify trusted sources online and how organizations can respond if they become a target of disinformation.

FleishmanHillard Named Among PRovoke Media’s Best Public Relations Agencies in the World
De Schweinitz has long been acknowledged as one of the most influential people in healthcare communications. In 2016, she served on the Pharma Lions Jury and as the Healthcare Jury President for the eurobest Awards. She was initially appointed to lead the Pharma Lions Jury at the 2020 Cannes Lions festival, which was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
“I’m really curious to look at the types of campaigns and the types of strategies that were employed prior to COVID and now in this interesting world,” said de Schweinitz, who leads an award-winning team of more than 300 global healthcare communications specialists within FleishmanHillard’s Healthcare sector.
De Schweinitz will lead the Pharma Lions jury as it selects the most innovative work that brings science and innovation to life, while aiding in diagnosis, prescription, disease mitigation or illness management for practitioners, patients and targeted consumers. Due to the cancelation of the 2020 festival, the jury will evaluate and award Lions for both 2020 and 2021 campaigns.
Winners will be celebrated at the 2021 Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity from June 21-25.
